I teach women in middle age how and what to eat for your unique body to fire up your metabolism, and help you FINALLY shed the fat you’ve been trying to lose for too long. But this isn't just about weight loss. My methods are also very focused on helping you develop nutrition habits that will set you up for a long, healthy, independent life.
I am on a mission to help women stop striving to be “skinny.” Instead I help women shed fat while striving to build a well-nourished, resilient body and confident mind.
I am uncomfortable with the fact that women are still trying to eat as little as possible as they try to become the smallest version of themselves possible. The body you are after (for looks AND for health and longevity) does not come with eating as little as possible (especially in middle age and after.)
Virtually every single woman I’ve worked with as a 1:1 nutrition client comes to me frustrated because they are eating very little and exercising all the time and they still aren’t seeing change. In fact, most are eating less than their body needs to maintain regular bodily functions.
If you’re like so many other women, you’ve been trying to lose stubborn weight that seems to have magically appeared after 40, and nothing is working. Especially not the things that "used to work.”Â
Guess what? Those things that used to "work" for weight loss didn't actually work if you are still struggling with weight management now. AND, the reason your old "go-to" methods aren't working now, is because you aren't living in the same body at 40+ that you were in your 20s and 30s. Things are different now.Â
For years we've been told to "eat less and move more." That doesn't work any more in middle age.Â
In middle age we need to be properly nourished to support our changing hormones and our metabolism. And, perhaps more importantly, to prevent muscle loss and bone loss to prevent osteoporosis.
While fat loss does ultimately only work if you’re eating in a calorie deficit, if you’ve been living in a calorie deficit for your entire life, that doesn’t work right now. The years you have spent dieting have left your body in a tizzy.
I want to teach you how and what to eat for your unique body so that you can fire up your metabolism, minimize symptoms of menopause, lower your cortisol and finally shed the fat. BUT, I also want to teach you how to ensure you’re giving your body what it needs so that you aren’t losing muscle, and therefore bone. Accomplishing fat loss and building a strong resilient body are not mutually exclusive.Â

Hey there, I’m Ashley.
I am a certified nutrition coach and certified personal trainer. I teach women how and what to eat for their unique body so they can finally reach their goals. At the gym I teach an all women's strength training class to help women of any age learn how to lift weights in an un-intimidating environment.
